New development rules have changed the maximum building height of a dwelling from the previous height restriction of 8.5m has increased depending upon the zoning of your land.
The new building heights allow improved flood immunity and flexibility with house design.
Previously the maximum building footprint was 50% no matter what size block you had under the previous BCC town plan
Now as of the 30 June 2014 this will change under the New Brisbane City Plan 2014 for a Dwelling house (small lot) code.
A far more comprehensive Dwelling house (small lot) code will provide more flexibility for designers.
